Originally built as Holiday Inn in 1972, Horve Hospitality Group purchased the building in 2007 and opened the Decatur Conference Center Hotel. An extensive remodel of the DCCH took place in 2017, which included updates to the lobby, rooms, suites, and other public spaces.

Throughout its 50-year tradition of excellence, the hotel has hosted performances by Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, Barbara Mandrell and many others; it also welcomed conventions and trade shows of all types, and held countless proms, weddings, receptions, and reunions.
